Kara McGuire


Kara joined CEB Iconoculture at the beginning of 2012, keeping tabs on trends impacting money and spending. She helps financial services clients overcome the trust gap and the gulf between what consumers want from their banks and what they're getting. She uses her journalism background to help nonfinancial services clients understand the world of financial services in plain English. Kara helps clients understand blue-color consumers and the often overlooked and misunderstood powerhouse group of low-income consumers. Other areas of expertise include what’s in consumer’s wallets, investing and insurance, kids and money, and loyalty programs — to name a few.
