Scholarship
CONGRATULATIONS to our 2009/2010 AMA Collegiate Scholarship Winner - Kathryn Belcourt of the University of St. Thomas!
Kathryn submitted an engaging essay on Personal Branding that highlighted her commitment to having a personal brand associated with being a challenge seeker, group leader and active community member. We are proud to award Kathryn with a $1000 scholarship and recognition throughout the MNAMA. View Kathryn's response.
In addition to receiving this personal recognition, Kathryn helped the University of St. Thomas AMA chapter to receive grant funds for tying with St. Cloud State University for the most scholarship applicants. These funds will be used to support the college chapters AMA activities.
"Winning this award is a true honor. Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to represent myself and my school by offering such a distinguished award. This essay really inspired me because I think that having a personal brand is very important in defining who we are. It expands beyond just a resume, because it encompasses all the great qualities that can't be shown just on paper. It is what makes us unique. I applied for this essay because I believe that for me to be successful in my future career and all my endeavors I must be able to express who I am, and what makes me unique from everyone else. This essay gave students a wonderful opportunity to look at themselves and express their individualistic qualities. I am very proud that I am able to carry on this tradition for the second year for St.Thomas! Hopefully, this will inspire future UST AMA winners!" - Kathryn Belcourt, UST
