Discover Your Strengths to Achieve Success in Your Career or Job Transition
Thursday, November 19, 2009, 3:30 AM — 5:00 AM

Amanda Wrangham, Associate Partner with Gallup

Do you have the opportunity to do what you do best every day? From cradle to cubicle, we devote more time to fixing our shortcomings than to developing our strengths. Step back and watch yourself. Talent is any recurring pattern of thought, feeling, or behavior that can be productively applied. Thus, if you are instinctively inquisitive, this is a talent. If you are competitive, this is a talent. If you are persistent, this is a talent. Everyone has a unique set of talents. By understanding your own dominant talents, you can begin to leverage them in your existing career, or you can position yourself for greater success while securing a new position. Your greatest areas of potential are in your greatest areas of strength.

Join Amanda Wrangham, Associate Partner with Gallup, to explore how a strengths approach can serve you in your career decisions. The foundation of Gallup's strengths practice is the Clifton StrengthsFinder®, an online assessment which is the product of a 25-year, multimillion-dollar effort to identify the most prevalent human talents—the building blocks of a strong and productive life. The StrengthsFinder assessment, featured in the New York Times bestselling book “StrengthsFinder 2.0,” provides you with your own personalized top five theme report and is a great resource for taking your strengths discovery and development to the next level.

This presentation is designed to be helpful whether you have already taken the StrengthsFinder assessment or whether you’re curious to learn how a strengths approach can serve you in your current position or career transition.
